Dolphin House reef (Sha'ab Samadai)

A horseshoe reef where a resident pod of spinner dolphins rests by day — Egypt's most reliable spot to snorkel respectfully alongside wild dolphins.

Giftun Islands marine park

A protected reef system 10 km off Hurghada, with vibrant hard and soft corals, parrotfish, butterflyfish and the occasional reef shark. Standard inclusion: two snorkel stops with full gear.

Travel tips

Carry your passport for any trip leaving the South Sinai bubble (Ras Mohammed, St Catherine, Coloured Canyon).
Reef-safe sunscreen is mandatory and enforced — please pack accordingly.
Mount Sinai is a night hike and a real summit — bring layers, a head-torch and sturdy shoes.
Tipping is part of the Bedouin economy — small notes for drivers, captains and camp staff are appreciated.

Good to know

Reef briefings and life-vests are provided on every snorkel boat — non-swimmers welcome.
St Catherine and Mount Sinai trips can sometimes be combined with the Coloured Canyon.
